The NaNoWriMo novel is going well this past week. I only hope now not to run out of plot twists before I run out of words. One thing I have learned from these fast-writing marathons is, I don’t seem to write much better when I have more time. Fitting in 1667 words a day is not easy on a regular working day but it’s not impossible either. The hardest part is reserving some time in the morning, when my mind is fresh and my ideas are the most likely to be ‘keepers,’ when I go through and begin the edit.
The other good thing about NaNo is, it gives me a complete mental break from editing The Fiendish Plot of Doctor Cyclone, necessary before I adapt the shooting script for students.
