Word on the Street is a Favorite Tradition

At Word on the Street I asked readers and writers to name their favorite book. The answers I got ranged from picture books to Chaucer. My annual visit to Word on the Street is a tradition which nets me a big book haul every time. Limited to what I can carry on the GO Train, I have yet to visit this annual event without accumulating a big book haul. These interviews are from September, 2006, the traditional month for this event.

In 2023, Word on the Street will take place inon May 27-28, and it will return to Queen’s Park, an excellent location which will allow for more exhibitors, over 100, in fact. There will also be live shows on six stages aimed at book-lovers of all ages. For more information, visit Toronto’s WOTS website for year-round activities.
